“…hypnosis interventions consistently produce significant decreases in pain associated with a variety of chronic-pain problems.” National Institute of Health.
Hypnosis is a powerful option that helps you relax, which is important to a person with daily discomfort. Once you reduce stress and anxiety, you can focus on new ways to manage your pain.
“Studies show that more than 75% of people with arthritis and related diseases experience significant pain relief using hypnosis.” The Arthritis Foundation
I took a 3-day hypnosis class years ago to help with my fibromyalgia and arthritis flares. It was so amazing that I went on to become a Master Hypnotherapist and Neuro-Linguistic Programming Master Practitioner. I use these techniques during client sessions to give them the best skills to add to their pain management toolkits.
I was grateful to have this knowledge when I was diagnosed with Trigeminal, Occipital, and Glossopharyngeal Neuralgia. I function and thrive with these even knowing that Trigeminal Neuralgia “is considered one of the most painful conditions known to mankind.” Dr. Rich Hirschinger
UCSF Professor PhD. Allan Basbaum stated that he doesn’t know how hypnosis works on pain, but that it works. “The information (pain) got to the brain, but the perception was altered.” Isn’t that amazing? Your perception was altered even though you had pain.
Remember that this is not a cure. The pain information is still in your brain, but you can easily turn your attention away from it and feel better. It is a way to learn to live WITH chronic pain. The result is less focus on aches and more on how you want to thrive each day.
“Hypnosis is a state of highly focused attention or concentration, often associated with relaxation.” Psychology Today
During your session, you will learn how to do a hypnosis breath for home use when you have a flare, a twinge, a jab, or a stab. Then I will relax you and show you ways to reduce stress, anxiety, and pain. The goal is to learn how to pay less attention to your discomfort and turn to those things that help you enjoy life. You will typically notice a significant change around the fourth session.
I will create a customized session just for you. There is no one like you, so it needs to be as unique as you. You will see quicker results when it is tailored to your life and your pain.

Sessions are on Zoom. Hypnosis works well online. Those with chronic pain know how difficult it can be to get in a car and drive somewhere when you’re in distress. Now, you can do this successfully from the comfort of your home.
Sessions are for two hours. This time allows you to get the full benefit of hypnosis.
These are typically how the sessions flow, but will be adjusted depending upon your needs. Everyone is different, and I want you to have exceptional sessions where you have breakthroughs.

“Hypnosis is a simple but powerful tool which allows you to bypass the logical, judgmental mind and focus on the “wants, needs, and beliefs” buried deep in your subconscious mind.” Julia Ingram
